Toddler killed in Qld blaze

A three-year-old boy is dead and four other people have been seriously injured in a fire at Beenleigh, south of Brisbane, on Sunday.

Police said a family of five were in a single unit that caught fire in a complex in Manila Street around 10.00pm.

Two adults have suffered life threatening injuries and two children were also badly injured.

The three-year-old boy was seriously injured and died at the scene, police said.

The injured adults and children are being treated in hospital.

The cause of the fire is unknown and police have established a crime scene.

Authorities said the fire was contained to the one unit.
