Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie has posted a bizarre video to YouTube, attacking Nationals frontbencher Barnaby Joyce over the Shenhua Watermark coal mine planned for his electorate.

With production values that can only be described as modest, Lambie stands, sits and stares down the lens in her office, while the camera angles constantly change to weird spots.

“Our children and grandchildren won’t be able to eat dirt Barnaby,” Ms Lambie says.

“If it can happen in NSW, it can happen in any state of Australia, including my Tasmania.”

“Stop being the Liberals’ lap dog and bring back the old Nationals attack dog … where’s the old Blue Heeler, Barnaby, who crossed the floor of Parliament 19 times?” she quizzed.

The video was posted to YouTube by “Rob Messenger” who’s posted two other videos with Senator Lambie.

Mr Joyce, the member for New England, has already tried to make it clear he is no supporter of the $1.2 billion mine in the northern NSW town of Gunnedah.

He said it was a “ridiculous” decision to place a coal mine “in the midst of Australia’s best agricultural land”.

Ms Lambie also reveals in the video she’ll be on Q&A on July 20.
