Hillary Clinton’s website error page is glorious

US presidential hopeful, who launched her 2016 campaign this week, has debuted a hilariously punny error message on her website.

When online visitors encounter a glitch, they are redirected to a photo of the former first lady with husband Bill Clinton and a giant Donald Duck.

• Bloodied lamb fake, but gruesome shearing ‘happens’

“Oops, that link wasn’t what it was quacked up to be,” the websites jokes.

So far, Mr Clinton, himself a former president, has not featured prominently in his wife’s nascent bid for the White House.

He is seen by political watchers as a formidable campaigner and a potential asset, but also a potential hinderance because of past scandals, such as his affair with Monica Lewinksi.

Hillary’s Republican opponents, in particular the youthful 43-year-old Senator Marco Rubio, are striving to portray her politics as a tired throwback to the Baby Boomer generation.

When asked by local media what position he saw for himself in the campaign, Mr Clinton laughed and affected modesty: “I’m a foot soldier in an army. I will do what I am instructed to do.”

If Clinton wins she will be 69 when she takes office, the same age as Ronald Reagan and more than two decades older than her husband or Barack Obama were at their inaugurations.
