Stephanie Scott’s accused killer was a recluse who allegedly lived in an online fantasy world where he indulged his love of neo-Nazi propoganda and violent videos.

According to a report by Fairfax, 24-year-old Vincent Stanford had no known friends in the town of Leeton where he allegedly killed Ms Scott, and had no known social media profiles.

Police have gone to lengthy measures to try and build a profile of Mr Stanford who has reportedly refused to co-operate, and have enlisted the man’s mother and brother in their investigations.

The young school cleaner is accused of murdering Ms Scott, 26, an English and drama teacher at the same high school in Leeton, 800km west of Sydney, on Easter Sunday before dumping her body in an isolated national park.

According to Fairfax, digital traces on Mr Stanford’s seized computer show he spent most of his time playing violent computer games, and ‘liked’ dozens of Nazi videos on Youtube.

Mr Stanford commented on videos about Nazi leader Rudolf Hess, and liked clips of Nazi marching songs and German military marches.

The man’s older brother and mother reportedly led police to Ms Scott’s burnt body in Cocoparra National Park after telling detectives their family had holidayed there several times.

Mr Stanford was born in Tasmania but relocated to The Netherlands for more than a decade before moving to Leeton 14 months ago.

Ms Scott was due to marry her childhood sweetheart on Saturday and had been preparing for her honeymoon before she was killed.

Mr Stanford remains behind bars and will reappear in court in June.
