Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has publicly condemned the Taliban for their horrific attack on a Pakistan school.

The 17-year-old human rights activist said she was “heartbroken” by the “senseless and cold-blooded act of terror” which left 141 people dead, most of them children.

Malala, who herself was shot in the head by the militant group in 2012, said the massacre would not break her people.

“Innocent children in their school have no place in horror such as this,” she said.

“I, along with millions of others around the world, mourn these children, my brothers and sisters – but we will never be defeated.

“I condemn these atrocious and cowardly acts and stand united with the government and armed forces of Pakistan whose efforts so far to address this horrific event are commendable.”

As part of the Tuesday attack, children as young as 10 were shot at random and forced to watch one of their teachers be burned alive.
