The body of a 16-year-old boy who went missing while swimming at Wentworth Falls Lake in the Blue Mountains has been found.

Police were told the boy was swimming in the lake about 5pm on Wednesday when he started to struggle then disappeared under the water.

A search was launched and a body, believed to the 16-year-old’s, was found in the lake shortly after 10.30pm.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
