Real-life Bridezilla to face police after hens brawl

The British bride who attacked her bridesmaid on a flight to her hen’s weekend last week has been reported to police after CCTV footage captured the entire ugly incident.

Bridesmaid Katrina Hanafin, 33, says her friend, bride Kelly Lloyd, 30, attacked her about an hour into a flight to Barcelona on budget airline Ryanair for no apparent reason.

“I’m not sure what even led to fight on the plane,” Ms Hanafin told the Mail Online. “There were crossed words, along the lines of [Kelly] saying nobody wants to sit with me and the next thing I knew I was being punched from behind on the side of my head…All I could do was curl up in a ball while I was rained blows over my face, arms, shoulders and legs and my hair pulled, as I tried to cover myself.”

Ms Lloyd claims that she hadn’t been drinking prior to the incident and blamed Ms Hanafin for starting the brawl.

“She was shouting that she was going to kill me and nobody could get her off me,” Ms Lloyd told the Mail Online. “I thought I was going to die. I had not even been drinking. I just wanted to enjoy my hen do but now it has been ruined.”

Due to a fear of flying, Ms Hanafin had taken a diazepam and had a few drinks.

The incident is reminiscent of hit 2011 comedy film Bridesmaids, in which bridesmaid Annie (played by Kristen Wiig) is kicked off a flight to a Las Vegas hen’s party after mixing alcohol and anti-anxiety drugs and having a mid-air meltdown.
