Miles, who is in remission after a four year-long battle with leukemia, dreamed of becoming Batkid and an estimated 7000 strangers enlisted their services to help his wish come true.

The upbeat little boy successfully saved a damsel in distress and apprehended his two greatest foes, the Penguin and the Riddler, cruising to the scene of the crime in a sleek black batmobile (a donated Lamborghini).

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee was so grateful for Batkid’s help that he awarded Miles with a key to the city.
The Chronicle celebrated Miles’ victory by releasing a special edition of the newspaper with the the headline “Batkid Saves City.”
