Microsoft makes the keyboard cool again

Microsoft has redefined the humble keyboard with a new razor-thin, wireless version capable of slipping into even the smallest of handbags.

Removing the modern day challenge of typing long messages on small phone touch screens, Microsoft’s keyboard connects wirelessly with Bluetooth-enabled phones or tablets to allow for an effortless, portable typing experience.

The Universal Foldable Keyboard is compatible with iPad, iPhone, Android and Windows products and is rechargeable, with at least three months battery life in a single charge.

An Australian release date and price is yet to be confirmed, but the keyboard will retail for in the United States for $99.95 from July.

“From devices with the smallest screens to devices with the largest screens, to devices with no screens at all, we remain committed to creating new experiences that surprise, inspire and help people achieve more,” Stephen Elop, executive vice president of the Microsoft Devices Group, wrote in a blog post about the new product.
