Fans of reality dating show The Bachelor are circulating scathing online memes poking fun at contestant Keira Maguire’s appearance and seemingly drunken display on Thursday night’s episode.

Maguire, 29, quickly established herself as the villain of this year’s bunch, revealing a strong competitive streak when she told fellow contestants “I don’t care if you bitches don’t like me” on Wednesday’s premiere.

On Thursday night, Maguire did little to help her abrasive reputation, criticising young mother Alex Nation for using her white rose to spend time with hunk Richie.

“As long as you feel comfortable and you’re going to sleep tonight, that’s all that matters,” she slurred at a shocked Nation.

A number of viewers commented on the number of drinks Maguire appeared to have sipped before tearing into her fellow contestant.

The NSW account manager’s confidence has sparked criticism on social media, with fans of the show calling her “arrogant”, “two-faced” and “annoying”.

Online commentary also focussed on Maguire’s appearance, with much of it verging on cruel.

A number of users suggested Maguire was a “poor man’s version” of Australian model Lara Bingle.

Other memes, which have generated hundreds of likes and comments on Facebook, likened Maguire to The Little Mermaid‘s Ursula, a beheaded Barbie doll and Shrek’s Prince Charming.

Maguire told The Herald Sun she hoped people didn’t take her behaviour on the show too seriously.

“I had my guard up, trying to protect myself,” she said.

“Hopefully people think I’m funny and they can see the funny side of things. If you don’t know me, you can’t really judge.

“It’s a TV show – I’m there to entertain.”
