Is that you Margot?

Australian actress Margot Robbie has been spotted on set for her latest film – and she looks almost unrecognisable.

As part of her new role in I, Tonya, as infamous figure skater Tonya Harding, the blonde bombshell underwent a remarkable transformation to get into character.

But so far it’s less of a portrayal and more of an embodiment, as evident in paparazzi snaps showing Robbie baring a striking resemblance to the disgraced Olympian.

Robbie’s wardrobe department had the Suicide Squad actress looking almost identical to Harding, with the frizzy hairstyle and ’90s jeans to boot.

Here’s a comparison with a photo of the real Tonya Harding to put Robbie’s dramatic new look into perspective.

Robbie, 26, was also seen training for her role as Harding at the Pickwick Ice skating rink in Burbank, Los Angeles – the same place Alan Thicke had his fatal heart attack.

The biopic looks at one of the most notorious scandals in Olympic history, in which Harding’s ex-husband Jeff Gillooly hired a hitman to attack her rival Nancy Kerrigan so she would be unable to compete at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer.

The attack injured Kerrigan’s leg, forcing her to withdraw from the national championships, however she recovered and managed to claim the Olympic silver medal in the ladies’ single skating. Harding finished eighth.

Robbie, 26, will be joined by Sebastian Stan, who played Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier in the Captain America films. He will play the role of Gillooly.

Allison Janney will portray Harding’s mother LaVonna Golden and Paul Walter Hauser will play Shawn Eckhardt, Tonya Harding’s bodyguard.

The film is scheduled to hit cinemas sometime in 2018.
