Pull out the Christmas tree and fill your stockings because the festive season is well and truly here, heralded by the arrival of a delightful new short film from Wes Anderson.
The beloved director, writer and producer teamed up with international clothing company H&M to create the flick, which stars Oscar-winner Adrien Brody as a train driver facing delays due to bad weather.
Titled Come Together, the nearly four-minute clip documents the train driver’s efforts to make up for the delays, which have wreaked havoc on his passengers’ holiday plans.
“This story may resonate more than ever at a time in the world where we could all do with giving a stranger a hug,” Brody told NME of the clip.
Fans of Anderson’s heavily stylised work will recognise Brody, as well as the candy-coloured costumes and quirky camera work.
The short film is particularly reminiscent of Anderson’s recent hit, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and his 2007 cult classic,The Darjeeling Limited, both of which starred Brody.
