Beauty blogger Zoe Foster-Blake parodies Beyonce’s pregnancy reveal

When music megastar Beyonce announced to the world she was pregnant with twins, she did it with an elaborate maternity photo shoot and a record-breaking Instagram photo.
In doing so, she accidentally stole the thunder of Zoe Foster-Blake, beauty writer, author and wife of radio star Hamish Blake, who also had her own pregnancy news to share.
Beyonce, 35, shared the snap of herself in lingerie and a veil holding her pregnant belly on Thursday morning (AEDT) and it quickly became the most popular Instagram photo of all time, garnering nearly 9 million likes.
Not to be outdone by Bey, Foster-Blake did her own Instagram post hours later, hilariously imitating the singer’s glamorous photo and calling her out for breaking their “best friend pact”.
“When @beyonce and I fell pregnant at the exact same time, we were so happy,” Foster-Blake captioned the photo, which recreated Beyonce’s image complete with sheer veil and floral backdrop.
“We made a best friend pact to announce the news with high-concept, oversaturated floral imagery and mismatched lingerie on the SECOND of February.
“But not only did my ‘best friend’ announce her pregnancy on the FIRST of February, she added an extra baby to make sure HER announcement was more special.
“Unfortunately, as you can see, news of her betrayal came through mid-photo shoot, but you get the gist.”
This will be the second child for Zoe and Hamish, who are already parents to their son Sonny, who was born in May 2014.
Meanwhile, the arrival of Beyonce’s twins will make it three kids for her and husband Jay Z, who are parents to five-year-old Blue Ivy.
Foster, who has 486,000 Instagram followers compared to Beyonce’s 93.3 million, is beloved by her mostly female fans for her sense of humour, her practical beauty tips and her adorable photos of her family.
She is the author of six books (including The Wrong Girl, which was turned into a TV show for Channel Ten) and has her own skincare line, Go-To Skincare.
As Foster-Blake’s post began trending online, Beyonce once again one-upped her by release a slew of photos from a high-concept pregnancy photo shoot.
The images are part of a series titled ‘I have three hearts’ the singer shared on her website. They capture Beyonce cradling her belly underwater, as well as some old photos of her and Jay Z and a moving photo of Blue Ivy kissing her stomach.
