Sprinting legend Usain Bolt has hinted he’s engaged to long-term girlfriend Kasi Bennett, indicating the pair have put his wild time in Rio behind them.

Currently on a post-Olympics holiday together on the luxury South Pacific Island of Bora Bora, both Bolt and Bennett have been posting loved-up poolside photos from the idyllic location.

But on Tuesday, Bolt surprised fans with a particularly romantic Snapchat post.

“She said yes,” read the caption, along with an image of the pair wearing matching flower necklaces on a boat.

And even more telling for the Snapchat generation – the caption was accompanied by the love heart and bride emojis.

The news might not come as a surprise to Bolt’s sister Christine Bolt-Hylton, who told media during the Olympics she believed her brother was in it for the long haul.

“I would say that there’s a very strong possibility they’ll get engaged when he comes home,” she said.

The calm after the storm

The happy news, if it true, comes after Bolt’s alleged gold medal sex marathon during his post-Rio celebrations.

Solidifying himself as “the greatest” (his own words) with his completion of the ‘triple triple’, Bolt then set out to paint the town red on his 30th birthday.

“I’m going to stay up late and have fun,” he told reporters.

And he kept his promise.

Within the course of a week, Bolt was filmed dancing intimately with a woman in a nightclub, before kissing a separate woman and eventually heading home with another – who turned out to be a drug lord’s widow.

But Bennett, who has reportedly been dating Bolt for the past two years, didn’t seem fazed by her boyfriend’s antics; constantly re-tweeting positive messages about the sprint star.

And if her holiday Snapchats have been anything to go by, all is completely forgiven.

“My eye candy,” Bennett captioned an image of Bolt flexing his muscles in the Bora Bora sun.

Who is Kasi Bennett?

After Rio, Bolt is one of the world’s most recognisable celebrities, but not much is known about his fiancée.

According to her Twitter profile, Bennett works for a business development and marketing company.

The Jamaican beauty also appears to be interested in fashion, posting selfies of herself in various glamorous outfits.

In fact, Bennett might be enjoying the spotlight more than Bolt predicted.

The sprinter told interviewer Ian Boyne in January that being a world-famous athletes girlfriend came with pitfalls.

“I have explained to her that when it comes out, it’s not going to be as she thinks it’s going to be,” he said.

“A lot of people will try to attack her, so I tell her to just take it easy and let’s make sure that you’re ready for this.”

“I don’t definitely hide, but we don’t try to put it out in the media like ‘Here she is,’ because I personally know what’s going to happen.”
