ASOS tries new trend: absurdly long jeans

Popular UK online fashion retailer ASOS has bewildered its customers by sending them what appear to be jeans for giants.

A bunch of confused shoppers reached out the company’s support service after they opened their packages to find pants twice the length of regular jeans.

In a post that has been retweeted more than 21,000 times, customer George Riggall shared a photo of himself in the lengthy pants, which ran past his toes and onto the floor.

“Pretty sure these aren’t 32″ length @ASOS,” Riggall wrote.

Several others followed suit, sharing their snaps of the ridiculous pants, which are sold on the site as the ‘Super Skinny Longline Stacker’.

To illustrate the sheer size of the jeans, here they are compared to other lofty landmarks and beings:

In an effort to clear up any confusion, the sale page for the jeans features instructions in bold writing: “Cut longer than standard length. Push the leg up for a gathered effect.”

In a statement to The New Daily, a representative for the company explained: “The ASOS Super Skinny Stacker is a new menswear style which is cut longer than standard length to give a gathered effect at the ankles.

“We have enjoyed the pics posted by our customers – here is how to wear them.”
