Comedian and actor Sacha Baron Cohen said he believes he is “23 per cent gay”.

The Borat and Ali G creator, who also played camp fashionista Bruno in the 2009 movie of the same name, is currently promoting his new film Grimsby.

“Straight or gay are silly terms. There’s a scale,” Cohen told The Sun.

Cohen married Australian actress and former Home and Away star Isla Fisher in 2010. The couple has two children together.

“Everyone is somewhere on the scale. I’m 23 per cent gay. I’ve worked it out, did the calculations,” said Cohen, referring to the Kinsey scale of sexuality.

Alfred Kinsey’s homosexuality-heterosexuality scale rates men and women on a scale between zero and one, and generally assumes most of the population feel attraction to both men and women.

“The world is not to be divided into sheep and goats. It is a fundamental of taxonomy that nature rarely deals with discrete categories,” said Kinsey of his theory.

Cohen joked that his homosexuality tended to move up and down the scale.

“There are times I go to 17 — sometimes I’m 31. Depends on the situation,” he joked.

The actor and Fisher star side by side in Grimsby, which Cohen also wrote and produced.

The spy action comedy also stars Australian actress Rebel Wilson and Penelope Cruz.
