Increasingly kooky rapper and fashion designer Kanye West has claimed he is $74million in debt and asked Mark Zuckerberg to invest in his ideas.

West, whose pre-album launch media campaign included tweeting that Bill Cosby is innocent of sex charges and calling his ex-girlfriend a stripper, launched album The Life of Pablo and Yeezy season 3 fashion line in New York on Friday.

The album was only released on Monday – three days later than planned – with West blaming last minute changes involving a song featuring Chance the Rapper.

So far, reviews of the album seem to be positive, which is lucky seeing as West claims he is now $74million in the hole.

“I write this to you my brothers while still (US) 53 million dollars in personal debt … Please pray we overcome … This is my true heart,” he wrote.

West then bizarrely seemed to either ask Mark Zuckerberg for money, or to tell the fictional story of Zuckerberg investing $1billion in his ‘genius’.

“Mark Zuckerberg invest 1 billion dollars into Kanye West ideas after realising he is the greatest living artist and greatest artist of all time,” he posted to his increasingly confused 18 million followers.

West went on to say his album wouldn’t be available to purchase for another week, but it would be available to stream via Jay Z’s music service (in which he is also an investor), Tidal.

“Please for all music lovers. Please subscribe to tidal!!! I decided not to sell my album for another week. Please subscribe to tidal.”

Unlike Spotify, Tidal charges for all its music and claims to pay its artists the highest royalties in the industry.

West has previously spoken of the huge amount of money he has put into the Yeezy clothing label, saying he was “playing a billionaires’ game”.

He is believed to have spent $20million on his new Bel Air home with wife Kim Kardashian.
