Melbourne is quickly becoming a nostalgic hub for hit 90s TV show Seinfeld.

In December, fans of the long-running comedy went crazy when a bar – partly inspired by the cantankerous Seinfeld character George Costanza – called George’s Bar opened its doors in Melbourne’s north-east suburb of Fitzroy.

Now, according to reports, a new food bar is opening which will pay tribute to Seinfeld co-creator, Larry David, and is set to open its doors just a few suburbs away from George’s.

According to the restaurant’s Facebook page, Larry David’s will be a New York-inspired bagel store which will serve “good coffee, juices and delicious takeaway bagels” while paying homage to the great man himself.

It will be located in Melbourne’s northern suburb of Thornbury, but there was no sign of an opening date.

David is a comedian, writer, actor, and television producer, creating the hit shows Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, in which he stars as a semi-fictionalised version of himself.
