Charlie Sheen has revealed he has gone off his HIV medication and is seeking alternative treatment in Mexico in a revealing new interview.

Speaking to American television doctor Dr. Oz in a pre-taped segment, the 50-year-old actor said his HIV numbers are “back up” since he started experimenting with other treatment options.

“I’m a little off my game, because right before I walked out here, I got some results that I was disappointed about,” Sheen said at the start of the interview.

“I’d been non-detectable … I found out the numbers were back up.”

“I’m been off my meds for about a week now. Am I risking my life? Sure. So what? I was born dead. That part of it doesn’t phase me at all.”

Sheen spoke of a dream he had at the age of 28 in which he saw his future self with the disease.

“In my dream I saw myself across the room in a cartoon-style caricature and I was pencil thin, I was pool cue thin,” he recalled.

“I had a very nice black suit on with a red tie but my head was the size of Charlie Brown’s with a few wisps of hair out the top and my face was bloated, my eyes were pinched, I was pasty and white and sweating.

“I had a sign around my neck and it said one word on it, written in red. It said ‘AIDS’. That was at 28. I woke up and I thought ‘Holy crap’ … I always knew that was a message from the universe that this thing was coming. I knew it.”

Towards the end of the episode, Sheen vowed to continue taking his medication.

The former Two and a Half Men star opened up about his battle with the virus in November of 2015, revealing he was diagnosed four years earlier.
