Crazed Lana Del Rey fans get restraining orders

Singer Lana Del Rey has been granted restraining orders against two obsessed Russian fans she claims have stalked and threatened her.

The ‘Young and Beautiful’ singer told an LA judge she had begun to “fear for her life” due to the fans’ erratic behaviour, reported entertainment site TMZ.

De Rey said the two fans had left rambling letters in her mailbox, and shown up on her doorstep multiple times.

She also said the fans had repeatedly screamed at her in public, and threatened suicide and other violence.

Del Rey told the judge she was afraid the women may kill her, and had been forced to hire a 24-hour security guard, as well as off-duty LAPD police to keep her safe.

After hearing the evidence, the judge granted Del Rey two restraining orders, requiring the two women to keep at least 100 yards (90 metres) from the singer at all times.

It’s the latest in a string of unfortunate events for Del Rey, who split from her Italian boyfriend in November after one year of dating, and had her 2013 Jaguar XK convertible stolen from her Los Angeles home.

Just weeks earlier, the singer also discovered a 19-year old fan squatting in the garage of her Malibu home.

The man was charged with burglary after allegedly taking off with one of Del Rey’s books.
