‘Sweat, snot, eye bags’: celeb mums post honest selfies
Too often motherhood is sugarcoated and idealised in movies, television and fashion magazines.
Supermodel mums pose semi-nude on glossy covers and blockbusters feature perfectly-dressed women carting three kids around their flawlessly furnished apartments.

Case in point: Nicole Trunfio’s June 2015 Elle magazine cover. Most mums don’t look like this:
Now, it’s finally time for the illusion to be shattered courtesy of two of Hollywood’s newest mothers – Olivia Wilde and Brooklyn Decker.
First, Wilde took to Instagram to share an image of her tired face and messy hair with the caption: “I call this hairstyle, ‘keep the kid alive’. Products you’ll need: sweat, string cheese, diaper rash cream, chewed up crayon, snot, and an enthusiastic spritz of panic.”
The 31-year-old actress is mum to 18-month-old son Otis, her son with actor Jason Sudeikis.
Next, swimsuit model and actress Brooklyn Decker – who has just had her first child with tennis star Andy Roddick – followed suit with two very honest photos of her own.
The first showed off Decker’s breast pump with the caption: “This is my life now.”
Decker’s second post was similar to Wilde’s, showing her tired face with the caption: “Undereye bags. Haven’t colored my hair in months. There’s dried breast milk errrrywhere. Nevermind the scrunchie.”
Meanwhile, Australian model Robyn Lawley went on her own crusade against body shakers, posting a revealing photo of her stretch marks after giving birth to her first child in March.
In a Facebook post, Lawley said she decided to share the photo because: “They are some bad a** #tigerstripes. And I earned them.”
Props to these ladies for keeping it real.
Just for the record, you might recognise them looking more like this:

Leonardo DiCaprio’s Swedish doppelgänger
Here’s Leonardo DiCaprio, Hollywood mega star, as a young man in 1996’s Romeo + Juliet:
And here is 21-year-old Swedish model Konrad Annerud, Leo’s doppelgänger of the highest degree:
Seriously, this is insane:
We think Konrad, who is also a budding musician, might be well aware of this fact because his Instagram feed is full of Leo-like poses.
Like this:
And this:
DiCaprio fans, Titanic-era Leo lives on and he’s just a plane ticket to Sweden away.
Meanwhile, in Clooneyville…
George and Amal adopted a dog.
It’s a basset hound named Millie with an adorably droopy face.
That’s all. The picture is all you need, really.
