Even the Star Wars cast freak out over trailer
It has been 10 years since the last Star Wars film hit our screens, but with the hype surrounding the trailer, you’d think it had been a century.
The official The Force Awakens trailer was released on Tuesday to great fanfare – not least from the excitable cast themselves.

Actors Daisy Ridley and John Boyega basically melted down as they posted their reactions to seeing themselves in the trailer.
Ridley, who plays Rey in the film, asked a friend to film her watching the trailer for the first time – eventually bursting into tears and saying “Oh my God it’s amazing”.
“Totally emotional seeing it for the first time and so so so incredibly awed to be part of this incredible legacy,” wrote Ridley, who until now had only appeared in the horror film Scrawl.
John Boyega, a fellow relative newcomer to Hollywood who will play Finn in The Force Awakens, reacted to a particular part of the trailer by jumping up and throwing himself over the back of his sofa. “Yep… Yep… Yep… Yep… Yep… Yeah woah!” Boyega can be heard screaming.
Alongside the fresh faces, a number of Star Wars alumni will return for the film, including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
Hoyts released advance tickets to the Australian public on Tuesday to coincide with the trailer, thus far selling over $1 million worth.
The Force Awakens will open in Australian cinemas on December 17.
