A Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department investigation has concluded Caitlyn Jenner should be charged with violating vehicular manslaughter laws, according to reports.

Entertainment website TMZ reports a 161-page probe by police into a February crash, which killed one and injured seven, said Jenner allegedly violated laws by driving at an unsafe speed.

The case will be recommended to the state’s prosecutors as early as next week. The crash happened on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.

The report finds traffic was stopped or just starting to move when Jenner allegedly slammed into the white Lexus in front of her.

The Lexus was knocked into oncoming traffic and its driver 69-year-old died at the scene, said reports.

Therefore, the Sheriff’s findings conclude Jenner violated a vehicular manslaughter law. Jenner was not speeding, however one source told TMZ: “[She] should have either been going zero or just barely rolling.”

Los Angeles County sheriff’s department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said in The Guardian that investigators found that Jenner was driving “unsafe for the prevailing road conditions”.

TMZ report the case will be taken to the Los Angeles County District Attorney for review next Wednesday.

Jenner will face up to one year in jail if convicted. She has already faced civil lawsuits for damages from the alleged victim’s family.
