Bobbi Kristina Brown dies after coma

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, has reportedly died in hospital in Atlanta.

The 22 year old passed away after being in a coma since January 31, 2015, when she was found unconscious in a bathtub at her home.

In a statement to E! News the Houston family said“Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away Sunday, July, 26 2015, surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God.”

“We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”

Bobbi’s tragic death comes after her mother Whitney drowned in a bathtub the day before the 2012 Grammy Awards at the age of 48.

Houston told ET in 1993: “She [Bobbi Kristina] brings me a lot of joy.”

“She brings both Bobby and I a lot of joy. It’s a different thing when you become a mother.

“It changes your whole perspective on life. You really don’t live for you anymore. You’re living for your children.”

Bobbi Kristina was thrust into the spotlight from early in her life, appearing in the 2005 reality series Being Bobby Brown, when she was just 10.

The series openly depicted the darker days of her family in the lead up to parents Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston’s separation in 2007.

As a result of the divorce, Whitney received custody of Bobbi Kristina.

Bobbi Kristina was 18 years old when her mother died, leaving her a reported $115 million fortune.

Eight months after her mother’s passing, Bobbi Kristina got engaged to Nick Gordon. The couple claimed to be married in 2014, though some in the family said it wasn’t official.

Following Bobbi Kristina’s transfer to a rehabilitation centre during the coma, a court-appointed conservator filed a $10 million law suit against Gordon.

TMZ is reporting American authorities are “gearing up for a murder case, and her boyfriend Nick Gordon would be the first person of interest.”
