Video has surfaced of the moment a man farted while Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary was giving a speech at a library in Odense.

The Tasmanian-born Princess was left red faced after the sound was picked up by everyone in the audience listening to her speech.

However, the mother of four certainly saw the funny side of the mishap, pausing to chuckle along with the crowd.

After bursting into a fit of laughter Princess Mary said in Danish: “It’s like what happens at home for me when I try to tell someone something!”

Muffled laughter continued throughout the gathering before she composed herself and moved on.

Video of the muted yet noticeable flatulence is below. You’ll hear it at the three second mark:

The footage was captured by Danish celebrity magazine Her & Nu and was posted on their social media accounts.

The 43-year-old was visiting the library to encourage children to read more and has been keeping busy of late, also lending her fame to promote the cause of safer swimming.
