Gabi Grecko has implied she had a miscarriage after suffering a nasty fall down some stairs last week.

The 26-year-old American wife of Australian medical entrepreneur Geoffrey Edelsten, 72, took to her Instagram account early Wednesday morning to announce the sad news.

“This is something I found out several days ago and have told my patents (sic) yesterday,” she wrote.

“I’ve been getting comments on why I’m getting X rays and doing certain things and after such a bad and hard fall they couldn’t believe I was alive.

“I think you all know what I’m about to say so I’m not going to say it. Pray for what’s been lost.”

The model later deleted the post but later posted a drawing of a baby with wings with the caption: “I’ve created an angel.”

Grecko has been staying in the Alfred hospital in Melbourne after the fall, which left her with a fractured rib and collapsed lung.

She has been sharing her recovery with her Instagram followers, posting several videos and photos of her injuries.

Grecko announced that she was five weeks pregnant one week ago on Instagram, posting a photo of a positive pregnancy test.

Since the fall, she has been accused of faking the pregnancy as a publicity stunt, but has denied the accusations.

“I would never do this for a stunt,” she told the Daily Telegraph. “I think that’s a horrible thing to say.”

The couple married back in April after Edelsten proposed at the Melbourne Cup last year.
