French stylist copies high fashion ad campaigns
French stylist Nathalie Croquet may be a professional fashionista, but she knows to never take style too seriously.
• Kurt Cobain’s daughter ‘doesn’t like Nirvana’
• Princess Mary steps out with mini-me children
The photographer and editor’s project Spoof sees her inserting herself into iconic ad campaigns for brands like Givenchy and Lanvin.
These aren’t cheap copies either – the former photo director for Jean Paul Gaultier has a keen eye for detail and recreates the campaigns almost down to the lighting and hand placement.
Croquet’s clever creations also highlight the ridiculousness of high fashion, with the act of replacing supermodels with a normal woman emphasising the absurdity of the scene.
The spoof campaigns can be found on Croquet’s Instagram page, which also features happy snaps of striking artwork, shoes and Parisian scenery.
