Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is the self-described “Jabroni beating … pie eating … most electrifying” star in sports entertainment and Hollywood cinema – but the diet regime he uses to achieve his phenomenal physique certainly avoids the aforementioned pie.
The Rock, 42, has listed his body building diet in Muscle & Fitness and it includes a whopping seven meals a day.
Oh, and if you want to follow it, you’d better like eating cod.

For almost 20 years he has been one of the most popular wresters in the history of the WWE thanks to his sharp wit, entertaining in-ring style and monstrous body.

That fame led to a host of big time movie offers and in 2001 he took the plunge into Hollywood with a role in The Mummy Returns. Since then he has had a role in another 27 feature films with bulked up body characters featuring heavily.
One of those was the 2012 film Hercules where he went on a similarly jaw-dropping diet.
But even that looks comparatively easy when compared to his current regime:
MEAL 1:
10 oz (284g) cod, 2 whole eggs, 2 cups oatmeal
MEAL 2:
8 oz cod (227g), 12 oz (340g) sweet potato, 1 cup veggies
MEAL 3:
8 oz chicken (227g), 2 cups white rice, 1 cup veggies
MEAL 4:
8 oz (227g) cod, 2 cups rice, 1 cup veggies, 1 tbsp fish oil
MEAL 5:
8 oz (227g) steak, 12 oz (340g) baked potato, spinach salad
MEAL 6:
10 oz (284g) cod, 2 cups rice, salad
MEAL 7:
30g casein protein, 10 egg-white omelette, 1 cup veggies, 1 tbsp omega-3 fish oil
Extrapolate those amounts over one year and you’re left with some pretty crazy totals too – 371.5kg of cod per year and 82.5kg of both steak and chicken per year, for example.
Along with heavy use of supplements, one hour of cardio and one and a half hours of lifting weights a day, all monitored by a coach, The Rock is able get his body looking and feeling like – a rock.
