American network Spike TV may have just produced the most winning combination the small screen has ever seen.

Lip Sync Battle, which premieres in the US on April 2, pits celebrities against each other in a mime showdown.

There are outrageous costumes, back up dancers and riotous crowds aplenty, complete with high calibre guests from Jennifer Lopez to John Krasinski.

The show is hosted by the surprisingly charming retired rapper and one-time actor LL Cool J and sassy supermodel Christine Teigen.

No word yet on whether the show will get an Aussie air date, but we’re sure to reap the benefits through countless viral Youtube videos.
