Emma Watson to star in 3D ‘Beauty and the Beast’

The 1991 classic Beauty and the Beast is set to make its return to the big screen with a stellar cast and a 3D twist.

Walt Disney Pictures has announced a live-action version of the beloved tale of true love, to be released on March 17, 2017.

Harry Potter star Emma Watson will play the coveted role of Belle, while Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens will take on the role of the Beast.

Emma Thompson will also feature in the role of Mrs. Potts, Kevin Kline has been cast as Belle’s father, Maurice, and Luke Evans will play Gaston.

Bill Condon, director of Dreamgirls, will helm the film, which will be released in 3D.

The cast better start brushing up on their vocal skills, as the filmmakers have confirmed the remake will include all of the songs from the original.
