Sports Illustrated first: Aussie plus-sized model
Robyn Lawley has added another string to her bikini, by becoming the first ‘plus-sized’ model to be chosen for Sports Illustrated’s annual swimsuit issues.
The Australian stunner, a gorgeous size 12, 188cm Sydney fashion model and entrepreneur, was one of the magazine’s seven rookie models to be be picked for the famous issue.

Lawley, 25, was beside herself when the news was released.
“Ahhhhhhh I’m beyond ecstatic to join the amazing @si_swimsuit family!!!!” Lawley wrote on Instagram.
“If someone told me at the beginning of my career that this would happen I would of said ‘tell em his dreamin’.”
As well as being a top model, Lawley is a published author of a cook book, Robyn Lawley Eats, has contributed several articles to The Daily Beast on body image and runs her own line of swimwear.
She joins models Chrissy Teigan, Erin Heatherton, Ashely Smith and Lily Aldridge in the magazine.
The 2015 issue has already caused controversy, first for an ad featuring another plus-sized model, which was both praised and criticised for not going far enough for women’s body issue and sexism.
The actual cover has also been a heated issue. Cover girl Hannah Davis is seen raunchily posing in a string bikini, while she pulls her bottoms down to almost expose entire lower half.
