Nicholas Cage and Borat director Larry Charles are teaming up for a new satirical comedy flick that stars Cage as an everyday American who goes on a mission to hunt Osama bin Laden.

The film, titled Army of One, is loosely based on a GQ article that recounted the true-story of a Colorado construction worker who tried to sneak into Pakistan and Afghanistan to find Bin Laden himself.

Charles also directed Borat’s ‘sister films’ with Sacha Baron Cohen, Bruno and The Dictator, so he is no stranger to dealing with controversial subject matters.

The comedic role will be a bit of a departure from Cage’s usual serious slant – although even his most earnest roles are often mistaken for comedy.
