A rock musical about former Philippines first lady Imelda Marcos will come to Australia next year.

Here Lies Love, written by DJ Fatboy Slim and Talking Heads founding member David Byrne, will rock into Sydney next May.

The show follows the story of Marcos and the woman who raised her, Estrella Cumpas.

It will be performed at Barangaroo as part of Sydney’s VIVID festival.

“It’s very cool to be part of Vivid Sydney – this show provides a lot to look at – and to be part of this big cultural project in Barangaroo,” Byrne said on Thursday.
