Disgraced former Bachelor star Blake Garvey has revealed how he fell in love with another contestant after proposing to the wrong girl on the hit show’s finale episode.

In a tell-all interview with Woman’s Day, Garvey – recently dubbed the most hated man in Australia – shares details of his budding relationship with eliminated contestant Louise Pillidge.

“I just never felt quite right saying goodbye to her,” the 31-year-old told the magazine, referring to his decision to dump Pillidge in favour of proposing to winning contestant Sam Frost.

Garvey ultimately called off his engagement to Frost only weeks after filming the proposal.

According to his latest interview, Garvey went on to profess his love for Pillidge in a five-page letter, which he delivered to her father.

“My one wish is that I don’t want to just be your first love, I want to be your first, last and only,” he writes in the letter.

Pillidge, 26, told the magazine she feels the same way about Garvey and was unfazed by the mix-up.

“True love has a way of finding you no matter what,” she said.

The pair have reportedly escaped to an island in Thailand to escape media scrutiny and are planning to move in together.
