“Well, speaking of babies, I have some news for you tonight,” Bickmore, 33, said to fellow hosts Matt Doran, Peter Helliar and Todd Sampson.

“I am having a baby.”

Bickmore already has one son, seven-year-old Ollie, from her marriage to husband Greg Lange, who passed away of a cancerous brain tumour in 2010.

The Logie-nominated television star was congratulated with a huge bunch of flowers from her crew.

“I don’t need flowers, the hard work’s still to come! I don’t deserve any flowers,” she joked.

Bickmore and Walker, a producer on The Project, have been dating since 2012.

The beloved TV host took to Twitter to thank her well-wishers and share a message about hospital funding.

Our hospitals are in dire need of funding to pay for vital equipment to help sick bubs. They need us,” she wrote.
