The X Factor is slowly sliding down the rankings despite the series moving into the second week of live elimination finals.

The Seven Network singing series was sixth on OzTAM’s overnight ratings after 1.078 million viewers watched boy band ‘Younger Than Yesterday’ eliminated.

Viewing numbers were down by about 40,000 on last week’s first elimination which is a concern for the Seven’s marquee singing series.

To make matters worse for Seven, its orienteering series The Amazing Race: Aust v NZ slipped to 20th with just 616,000 viewers, beaten by the ABC’s Media Watch (632,000), Network Ten’s Family Feud (659,000) and the Nine Network quiz show Hot Seat (683,000).

Nine won the night with its ultra consistent renovation series The Block Glasshouse which attracted 1.280 million viewers, followed by Seven News (1.192 million) and Nine News (1.162 million).

Nine’s drama House Husbands also performed well, finishing eighth with 966,000 viewers while Seven’s long running soapie Home And Away (924,000) was ninth.
