Jackie O walks out after Sandilands spat

Kyle Sandilands has been left to host the Kiis FM breakfast show on his own after an angry Jackie O lambasted her long-time co-host and stormed out on him.

The pair, who defected from rival network 2DayFM late last year, turned on each other on Monday morning when Jackie O accused Sandilands of “chucking a sickie” on Friday and “leaving everyone high and dry”.

Kyle said there was no way he could have come in because he “threw up in the car” on his way to the studio.

“If you vomited in the car I don’t think you’d come to work either,” the 43-year-old said.

The on-air spat continued as the pair threw barbs back and forth and Sandilands asked, “have you got the s***s or something?”

“A little bit,” his co-host said.

Sandilands defensively responded that he was “happy to go home again”.

“I don’t have to put up with this,” he remarked.

“You’re always sick on a Friday,” Jackie O responded.

“I’m just putting it out there.”

After more tense words Sandilands exclaimed, “Oh, it’s going to be one of these shows.”

Following a series of pre-recorded segments, Sandilands announced on air that Jackie O had walked out of the studio.

“In the spirit of transparency I’d like to let everyone know that Jackie and I during the news have had an argument and Jackie’s left,” he said.

Sandilands has been open about his health issues recently, which have caused him to miss several shows.

Last month he told listeners he’s suffering from a hernia and vomited live on radio.

He and Jackie O, who hosted their 2DayFM show for 10 years, were overtaken in Sydney FM breakfast radio ratings in June by WSFM’s Jonesy and Amanda.
