Grant Denyer may sue mag over drug allegations

TV personality Grant Denyer has denied reports he and his wife have a drug addiction.

In a statement on Monday Denyer said he and wife Chezzi are saddened by reports carried in this week’s Woman’s Day magazine and are considering legal action.

The statement says the couple have been under stress in recent months because Denyer has been battling chronic fatigue caused by an unknown stomach illness.

Chezzi was also suffering PTSD and anxiety resulting from Denyer’s illness.

They had spent four weeks in a wellness centre in Thailand to deal with their health concerns.

“With their conditions now under control they are healthier and happier than they have ever been,” the statement said.

“Claims that the couple have a drug addiction and that Grant recently lost his Ch 7 contract are both false.

“They are currently taking legal advice on what action can be taken against the magazine.”

The rehab facility at the centre of the reports, The Cabin Chiang Mai, confirmed the couple had sought treatment for a range of physical and mental health issues.

“Grant and Chezzi Denyer were both in treatment at The Cabin Chiang Mai for work exhaustion, executive burnout, anxiety, and PTSD.

They were both highly motivated during treatment and the episode resulted in a successful outcome.”
