Media personality Charlotte Dawson has been found dead in her Sydney home.

Police have confirmed a woman’s body was found at the address in Wooloomooloo and there were no suspicious circumstances.

The New Zealand-born Dawson, 47, had a history with depression.

Dawson was best known for her work as a presenter on Getaway, How’s Life? and Charlotte’s Lists, and as a judge on Australia’s Next Top Model.

The former model was hospitalised last year after being bombarded with vicious Twitter messages.

She was a vocal anti-bullying campaigner and had also been campaigning for cancer resources.

She was once married to troubled Olympic swimmer Scott Miller.

Dawson often appeared on morning and breakfast television shows, last appearing on the Nine Network’s Morning Show on Friday.

The Network issued a statement, saying Dawson would be missed.

“All Charlotte’s friends at Channel Nine are shocked and devastated by the news this morning. We loved her and hope that she is at peace – she was a part of our television family and we will miss her warmth and beauty around us.”

Friends of Dawson have remembered her as a “beautiful, bright, shining girl”.

Fellow Next Top Model judge and Australian designer Alex Perry paid tribute to Dawson, tweeting “WE LOST A BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT, SHINING GIRL TODAY… REST IN PEACE MY SWEETHEART…I LOVE YOU. X.”

Reality TV star Nathan Jolliffe, who starred alongside Dawson on Celebrity Apprentice, said she was a kind-hearted person who put 110 per cent into life.

“My time on Celebrity Apprentice with her will be some of the best memories of my life,” he told AAP.

“I just feel so saddened that she didn’t realise how many people were here to support her in troubled times.

“She will be greatly missed.”

Tributes flowed on social media for the former model.

New Zealand Prime Minister John Key tweeted he was “shocked and saddened” by the news and radio personalities Kyle and Jackie O also expressed their shock. “U will always have a special place in our hearts Charlotte. RIP,” the radio duo tweeted.

Many of the tweets reflected on Dawson’s battle with twitter trolls and her campaigns against bullying.
