Busy Angelina Jolie has no time to visit Nauru

Despite reports that Angelina Jolie would pay a visit to Nauru to appraise offshore refugee processing centres, sources close to the actress have told Fairfax Media her schedule is too full.

Jolie had been invited to the small island by Nauru President Baron Waqa and reports yesterday stated that the actress had accepted the offer.

However, sources have confirmed to Fairfax that Jolie has no plans to visit Nauru due to an action-packed upcoming 12 months.

Jolie, who is the Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, is widely involved in global human rights issues.
